Churchill's words have come in handy this week in DC. Of course, hell is relative. Ours is the frozen-over sort, and we have kept going, and in just a few short weeks, things will probably be getting back to normal(-ish).
This week's WORDS WE LOVE contest: Tell us, what's your mantra when bracing yourself for tough times? The winning entry gets a dozen Quotable cards (always inspiring!) AND some saucy Quotable cocktail napkins AND perhaps sees the winning quote memorialized on a card from our good friends at Quotable Cards.
1. Tell us (by posting a comment here): What is your favorite quote about facing adversity? And who is credited with first uttering the words?
“People are just as happy as they make up their minds to be.” Thanks to all who played!
2. Enter by Saturday, February 13th, at 8 pm EST.
3. Watch here for the winner, announced on Tuesday. LAST WEEK'S WINNER:
KAREN, who submitted two great quotes on the subject of happiness:
“All you need is love. But a little chocolate now and then doesn’t hurt.”
— Charles M. Schulz
— Abraham Lincoln
“People are just as happy as they make up their minds to be.”
Thanks to all who played!
