Stop by our Georgetown shop this Saturday between 2 & 4 to meet bestselling author Kitty Kelley, who has a sign over her desk that reads "Tell the truth, but ride a fast horse." Ride like the wind, Kitty! We think we see Oprah (& Jackie & Elizabeth & Frank & Nancy & the Bush family -- oh & the other Royals, too...) nipping at your heels.

Jackie Oh! (published 1978) 1." Jackie Onassis" - Human Sexual Response
Kitty cuts her teeth carving up the iconic former first lady, but it didn't stop HSR from wanting to emulate Aristotle's stylish wife.

Elizabeth Taylor: The Last Star (published 1981)

2. "Something Stupid" - Frank Sinatra
Just coincidence that Old Blue Eyes is the singer chosen as both the soundtrack for the video tribute shown here and the subject for Kelley's next bestselling biography.

His Way: An Unauthorized Biography Of Frank Sinatra (published 1986)

3. "Frank Sinatra" - Cake
William Safire of The New York Times called Kelley's unauthorized biography "The most eye-opening celebrity biography of our time."

4. "That's Life - Frank Sinatra
"The Voice" may have been more inclined to sing "The Lady Is A Tramp" in Kitty's honor after his lawsuit failed to prevent Kelley from publishing the biography.

Nancy Reagan: The Unauthorized Biography (published 1991)

5. "My Nancy" - Frank Sinatra
Among the many things written about the former first lady was that she engaged in multiple affairs with Sinatra, but we're pretty sure he wrote this about his daughter Nancy.

The Royals (published 1997)

6. "God Save The Queen" - The Sex Pistols
The play list takes a hard turn away from the mellifluous pipes of the Chairman of the Board to Johnny Rotten when he was still truly angry. Twenty years later, Kelley writes an account that justifies the Pistols anger and then some.

7." The Queen Is Dead" - The Smiths
Morrissey dishes on the royals much in the vein of Kitty with lyrics like "Charles do you ever crave to appear on front of the Daily Mail dressed in your mother's bridal veil?"

The Family: The Real Story of the Bush Dynasty (published 2004)

8. "American Idiot" - Green Day
"Kelley's account of the rise and fall of the Bush family is both inspirational and cautionary. She convincingly shows that good looks, energy, athleticism, ambition, felicitous marriages and social networking can compensate for intellectual ordinariness." –The Washington Post Book World.

9. "BushLeaguer" - Pearl Jam
Among the incendiary comments to come from this book was the rumor that Laura Bush was once a "go-to girl for dime bags," and that George W. Bush snorted cocaine at Camp David.

10. "Bushisms" - George Bush
We're kind of missing W and his occasional verbal slip-up and we recently found that they haven't ceased to amuse us.

Oprah: A Biography (published 2010)

11. "Oprah Winfrey" - Wesley Willis
We're fairly certain that Kitty Kelley provides more insight into Oprah than legendary Chicago street musician and performing artist Wesley Willis, who sings "you are so pretty as a flower, you are a cute woman, you are a smart woman, you can really flap your yap off." Come pick up a signed copy of her book and make your own comparisons.
