SATURDAY, OCTOBER 10th, 2009 tee party!
If you're like us, you've been rooting through your closet, searching for those autumnal layering pieces you know you had last year. But now you can see the state of your closet, and where did all of those old T-shirts come from? You know, the huge ones that you sleep in, the tourist impulse-buys from vacation, the favorites from high school that you just. can't. part with. What to do?
Enter Generation T, a wondrous movement run by Megan Nicolay, aimed at re-fashioning all of those oldies-but-goodies into new tops, skirts, accessories, dog toys, baby clothes, bibs, EVERYTHING. And what luck! Our friends from craft*monger are bringing her to our Georgetown garden on Sunday, October 18 at 4pm for a FREE workshop. So gather up those cast-offs and sharpen your scissors. You never know what you'll leave with. A hat? A necklace? Cufflinks? According to Megan, the possibilities are endless. Email craft*monger for more information.
AND, check out our store events for more details about kids' crafts planned for that very same day at noon. Gourd-painting! Mask-making! Leaf-stamping! Halloween decor! Oh my!
