Fall In

Wow, Fall! We like how you announced your presence this morning with a Blood Moon in a sparkly sky. You’re the coolest, figuratively. Literally, you’re the second coolest, unless there’s a brutal Indian Summer or a particularly frigid Spring. At worst, you're third coolest. We do enjoy waking to a surprising chill and late afternoon walks that catch us underdressed. Sweater weather has arrived, boys and girls. The leaves are changing, pumpkins and goblins are starting to pop up around town, and costume shops and candy vendors are putting the hard sell on their clientele. Have we mentioned all of the great new fall outfits and cold weather accoutrements we have in stock? But we digress. Today’s play list is to honor the passing of a glorious summer and to welcome the shortest season, with its magnificent color shows and crisp, cool breaths. Viva Fall. For those who like these sort of things, there are bonus songs in the Spotify play list below the post, and quotes to accompany each song. Enjoy:

Everywhere she walked the color shouted and sang around her...In October any wonderful unexpected thing might be possible.”
- Elizabeth George Speare, The Witch of Blackbird Pond
