We hope you'll be very happy with your purchases. Since you haven't had the chance to see the items in person, however, please rest assured that you may return any goods you aren't happy with for exchange or refund. (Please note that our return policy for in-store purchases differs: we offer store credit or exchange only, within 14 days of purchase.*) Should returned goods show signs of use or wear, we unfortunately cannot issue refund; in such cases, the customer will be responsible for the cost of return shipping.

Pack your returns in the original or similarly careful packaging and ship to us within 21 days* of your receipt of the goods. Indicate on the return form whether you prefer exchange, refund, or credit to your account.

Include your Return Form and indicate your reason for return. If you are exchanging items, please include method of payment for the return shipping. Refunds are credited back to the original card and will be reflected on your billing statement within 1 - 2 billing cycles. Original shipping charges are not refundable.

Please note that Proper Topper is not responsible for returned merchandise that is lost or damaged while in transit to us. Be sure to insure your package with a reputable courier such as UPS, USPS (with delivery confirmation service) or Fed Ex.

If the order is a gift to be given at a future date, please advise us so that we may extend the return date.


Damaged/defective merchandise
Merchandise that is flawed or damaged in shipping will be handled immediately by our customer care department. Please contact us (, 202 467 1990) at your earliest opportunity and retain any damaged materials for claim purposes.

Non-returnable merchandise
Clearance merchandise that is marked as FINAL SALE on our site is not returnable.

Worn merchandise or merchandise that is damaged in your care is not returnable.

Special-order merchandise is not returnable.

Merchandise that was received more than 21 days prior to our receipt of its return is non-refundable.

Any merchandise that does not qualify for return due to condition, date of return, special-order or clearance/final sale status, will be returned to the customer at the customer's expense or, should the customer choose not to authorize charge for return shipping, disposed of by Proper Topper. We will contact you to learn your preference and to obtain payment details for the return.
